Mozambique

June 2019

During our time in Mozambique, God planted a beautiful dream within our hearts, a dream to make a difference in the lives of children all over the world.

It was an experience that touched us deeply. We had the privilege of meeting some of the most precious and loving kids, and we were humbled by their lives compared to ours. We met kids who had been living on the street or couldn't be cared for by their families, but the unbelievable joy they have is the most inspiring thing ever!

My best friend, Audrey, and I got to be a part of everything! One of the most special moments was in the baby house, sitting on the tile floor and holding the newborns. Hearing all the testimonies of how these precious kids were malnourished and shouldn't have lived, but God intervened and did a miracle, and now they are healthy, alive, and smiling is one of those things that hits on a deeper level.

But one of the most exciting things was definitely the dancing! I still have no words for how they do it, but it is truly amazing to watch! The way their feet move so fast and how coordinated and on-beat they are is incredible! Until then, I had never even seen worship like that, and it is still one of my favorite things to do when I'm there!

Throughout this trip, we realized that this was one of the most incredible moments of our lives. It was a turning point that ignited a passion within us. We knew that we couldn't simply let this experience fade away; instead, we had to take action and help those in need. That is why we now have Mercy Tribe!
